In thermal and nuclear power generation, power is generated by using steam to rotate turbines and generators. The steam that passes through the turbine is sent to a large cooler called a condenser, where it returns to water and is reused for power generation.
The condenser vacuum pump improves the power generation efficiency of the turbine by extracting air from the condenser to maintain the inside of the condenser in an appropriate vacuum state, which increases the cooling efficiency.
While the power plant is in operation, the condenser vacuum pump operates continuously together with the turbine, so it is an important pump that must demonstrate a high level of reliability. For half a century, Tsurumi's condenser vacuum pumps have been operating with outstanding reliability in thermal and nuclear power plants around the world.
Conventionally, a steam ejector using high-pressure steam is used to extract air from the condenser. Recently, however, the liquid ring vacuum pump has become popular because of its operating convenience and the widespread adoption of centralized control systems in power plants. They require no boiler steam and can immediately create a high-capacity vacuum when supplied with electricity and water.
Tsurumi offers a wide range of condenser vacuum pumps ranging from large-scale commercial units to small and medium-sized units for use in waste-fired power generation plants, independent power generation plants, and marine vessels.

An almighty vacuum pump that supports special corrosion resistant materials and mechanical seals. We have a wealth of experience as a vacuum source for production equipment used in the petrochemical industry and for pharmaceuticals.
Large-capacity, High-efficiency Liquid Ring Vacuum Pump Suitable for Gas removal/extraction system for Geothermal Power Generation, and can be supplied not only as Vacuum Pump but also in hybrid system that combines a steam ejector. Contributing to the Use of Renewable Energy to Achieve the SDGs.
Since it is a two-stage type with two impellers built in series in one pump, this vacuum pump can exhibit good performance even in a high vacuum range such as in distillation, concentration, and polymerization.
This vacuum pump draws air from the inside of a condenser such as in a thermal power plant and conforms to the US HEI standard, so it is possible to select a model immediately. In addition, it is also possible to select according to individual specifications such as for geothermal power, waste, and private power generation.
